Skidder
A piece of logging equipment that is used to drag felled trees out of the woods and to the landing site. A cable skidder is equipped with a long cable that is extended to the butt of a felled tree and the tree is then winched to the skidder. A grapple skidder is equipped with a large claw-like grapple that is used to pick up felled trees.
