Whitetail Stewards, Inc. self-guided hunt

Since 2003, the Whitetail Stewards staff have been traveling to southeastern Ohio to hunt farm country and small-woodlot whitetails during the rut. We were interested in putting together a completely self-guided hunt and decided Ohio was the place to go, due mainly to the high quality deer and because we could get there in 1 day's drive from our home in New Hampshire.

After a couple of short scouting trips and a lot of phone calls to biologists at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, we were able to secure permission to hunt on about 2000 acres of private land. This series of video clips shows a hunt from November 2004 that contained all the highs and lows of bowhunting whitetails during the rut.
