Cooperative Extension agents in Agriculture, Wildlife, Forestry, and Water Resources can provide you with educational assistance on your property free-of-charge.  Your Cooperative Extension agent can also put you in contact with professionals such as wildlife biologists and foresters who can assist you with managing your land.

Your state forestry agency provides a variety of services that can help you manage your property.  State foresters can often visit your property free-of-charge and provide recommendations for managing your land.  Many state forestry agencies are responsible for enforcing timber harvesting laws and for fighting forest fires.  State foresters can also often provide you with free information about public hunting lands.

Your state wildlife agency is responsible for managing populations of game and non-game wildlife species. Your state wildlife agency is your best contact for information about hunting and fishing opportunities and harvest regulations in your state.
